The Ultimate Japanese Cutlery Experience

Art of Sakai forged Knife

Japan is well known for their amazing cutlery, especially Sakai Japan, where over 90% of Japan’s knives are produced and used in homes and professional kitchens.

Japanese knife making is rich in tradition and history, utilizing centuries old techniques passed down from generation to generation.

This exclusive experience gives you a chance to visit a live forging process of Japanese knives in a Knife maker’s workshop and see the action live! You will get an exclusive look into their local forge, where knives are heated treated in a charcoal fired forge, reaching up to 800°C(1472°F). You will also visit a famous knife museum.

Also you can get a hands-on knife sharpening training using Japanese whetstones. Then you will receive your very own Japanese kitchen knife engraved kanji character inspired by your name for you to take home.

There are many touristic attraction near by Osaka school such as Kyoto, Nara, Kobe. You can visit those places during your course.
